Japan - The People and the Culture

Japan is an island nation whose people, culture and development is defined by its geography and its distinctive history. This presentation is designed to give students an overview of Japan from the days of the samurai up till today.

Presentation includes the following:

  • a 40-45 minute presentation about Japan and its unique history and culture.

  • a display of Japanese arts and crafts, illustrating the dedication and craftsmanship of Japanese artisans.

The presentation is visual and informative and enhances student awareness and insight into Japan. The presentation is more relevant for the middle grades from a curriculum perspective, but it provides an interesting and informative overview for all students interested in learning about Japan. A maximum of 60-75 students is preferred (2-3 classes), which will allow more interaction by the students.

The cost is $175 per presentation, which includes travel, hotel, meal costs, etc.
